My husband asked me today if I would have a guy as my bridesmaid. If I could, and society would permit me, definitely. Why not??? :)
I think most of my guy friends would look really pretty as my bridesmaid… haha. And I would finally be able to allocate something to some of my best buddies who are not of the fairer sex. Currently, the most they can do is take photos and probably think of ways to get me to drink on my wedding day… :P

Initially, I wanted to have a few bridesmaids for my wedding. These are the people whom I shared a great bond with and have became part of my lifelong pals. However, 3 of them are currently working overseas, 1 has gotten married and the other is on my hubby’s side. Thankfully, my cousin, who is like my elder sister to me when I was younger, is working in KL, is pretty and not married and of course comes from my side of the family. Best part is, she knows everything about me and I can share everything with her. I know I will be pretty stressed up that day and having her with me would be great! :)
But now back to having a man as a bridesmaid. I googled the internet and found that this has actually happened but this is not very common yet. Most call them ‘bridesmen’ or ‘groomsmen’. As for woman being the best man, some suggestion for their naming is ‘groomsmaid’. But I guess ‘Best Maid’ should work too. Most were for it but there were some against it. However, so far, almost all agreed that the ‘bridesmen’ should just stick to tuxedos and not try on a dress… :D
